Bob Wright - Keyboard
Bob has played piano nearly his entire life and was fortunate to study classical performance piano during his time at UC San Diego. For the past 20 years Bob has played keys semi-professionally as a soloist as well as several bands throughout the San Diego region. His inspiration comes from such greats as Arthur Rubenstein, Vladmir Horowitz, Billy Preston, Nicky Hopkins, and James Booker. In his spare time, Bob practices law in Encinitas, California.
​Charlie Gaylord - Guitar
Charlie Gaylord has been rocking with his Clapton strat for many years. North County San Diego bands have included Goes to Eleven, Chaos Theory, Uncle Boogie, Repeat Offenders, and Strange Brew. Goes to Eleven was featured nationwide on Good Morning America, and Charlie was highlighted on VH-1 and in a separate documentary video with rockers from Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. He lives with his family in Del Mar.
Eric Januszko - Drums
Eric’s parents introduced him early to their favorite music by The Beatles, Cream, Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, leading to Eric’s biggest influences – Ringo and Zeppelin’s John Bonham. Since Eric’s family relocated to Southern California in the early 1980s, Eric has been regularly playing and touring in various AOR, alternative rock, pop and blues rock bands.
Michele Hill - Voice and Guitar
Michele Hill is an accomplished rhythm guitar player, who also plays an occasional lead on her acoustic guitar. Michele grew up during the classic rock generation and she plays and sings hundreds of songs from that era. She has performed in many styles and genres including R&B, Soul, Motown, folk, rock, acoustic and pop. She has played at several venues in the So Cal area. She is also an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys surfing, kite surfing, volleyball, snow skiing, and cycling. She resides in Encinitas with her husband and two Golden Retrievers. Michele is the rhythm/lead player and vocalist in the acoustic groups Laidback and No Bantr.
Ray Treppa - Bass
Ray Treppa has been playing guitar, keyboards, and bass in groups since the early 1960's. He currently sits in and plays upright bass, six string, five string , and 4 string basses in bands around San Diego. A native of Point Loma/Ocean Beach, Ray teaches sailing and boating, is retired from CNRSW (Navy Sailing), and is known as one of premier bassist in Surf Music. He has been playing with the musicians in Strange Brew several years.
Rick Lecksell - Voice
Rick is a singer/songwriter who has been singing for many years and is the current lead singer of Strange Brew. He continues to hone his craft as a vocalist. He has previously fronted numerous bands from NY to Southern Cal. He has been called a “Vocal Chameleon” because he closely emulates the artists who originally recorded the songs he performs. He strives to achieve an expressive delivery when singing through their repertoire. Rick is just as comfortable singing a driving rock & roll song as he is singing a delicate ballad. Rick has performed in many styles and genres including R&B, Soul, Motown, folk, rock, acoustic and pop.
